Credentials

We're new.
We haven't won awards yet.

Here's what we have instead: federal data, CAPS certification, and a firm commitment to truth over hype.

What actually matters in senior care guidance

We're not chasing industry awards. We're chasing data integrity and honest assessment. These are our credentials:

📊

15,000+ Ranked Facilities

Every facility in our database is cross-referenced with official federal inspection records. No marketing spin. No facilities paying for higher rankings.

Source: CMS CASPER, PBJ, OSCAR
📁

97,000+ Federal Records

We ingest inspection reports, staffing data, complaint histories, and violations. That's the backbone of our "Clarity Score" — not opinion, just patterns from the data.

CAPS-Certified Assessors

Our home safety assessors hold Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist certification. That's a real credential that costs time and rigor to earn.

Our data sources: Government, not gossip

Every ranking is built on federal inspection and staffing records. Here's where the data comes from:

CMS CASPER

Skilled Nursing & Assisted Living Facility Ratings. Nursing home inspection deficiencies, staffing ratios, complaint investigations. Updated quarterly by CMS.

PBJ (Payroll-Based Journal)

Staffing hours and turnover. Medicare-certified facilities report RN hours, LPN hours, aide hours, and turnover. Raw labor market data.

OSCAR

Online Survey, Certification & Reporting. The master database of Medicare/Medicaid-certified long-term care facilities. Inspection history, violations, sanctions.

CAPS Certification: What it means

Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist. Our home assessors earned this credential by passing rigorous exams in universal design, accessibility, fall prevention, and aging-friendly home modification.

It means someone has studied how to make homes safer for aging bodies. Not just talked about it. Studied it. Tested. Certified.

  • Accredited by NCIATPO (National Center for Inclusive Aging-in-Place)
  • Continuing education required annually
  • Specialization in senior safety assessment
  • Individual liability insurance
  • Ethics code binding
